I’m Austin, but my friends and family call me Ozzy. I was born in 1989 in my hometown of Racine, Wisconsin.

My love for photography started at a young age. I was drawn to the stories and the places you could visit by looking at a picture. I can still remember reading an Atlas and seeing photos of India; the farming, the vibrant colors, the feeling as if I was there. I was hooked.

As a film photographer I am continuously challenged and pushed to understand how to get the end result. Constantly studying and practicing what I have learned. Over the years I’ve grown to get the most enjoyment out of shooting portraits and landscapes. When I take photos of my clients, I like to ask them questions about their lives, their own passions, the history that makes them who they are. We get to be intimate, personal, funny, and serious. I love capturing those moments in time that when you look back, you want to be in that moment again.

Landscape photography has allowed me to travel and see some of the most beautiful places the US has to offer. I tend to do a lot of research prior to starting my trip to where it almost becomes an obsession, a driving force that pulls me in. I almost always end up shooting more rolls than I intended trying to capture what I am feeling on that single shot.

The decision behind this website is to give viewers a glimpse into what I see behind the camera. The stories I hear, the people I meet, and the places I’ve been. When others see my work, I want them to think “How did he take that?” or “Where is this?” and ultimately to find enjoyment in what they are seeing.

When I am not shooting professionally you can find me, camera in hand, spending family time with my wife, daughter, our two dogs, my closest friends and family. Taking trips in the summer to Door County or enjoying dinner at Kopps and custard at Leons in Milwaukee.
