It all begins with my first ever trip to St. Louis back in 2017, visiting one of my childhood best friends. Kyle, being a native and moving back after college, he always talked about St. Louis and how beautiful the city was. Let’s just say, after that first visit, I found that I had fallen in love with the city. I continued taking more visits, and began doing research on the culture, photographic areas, and the food scene. I was hooked on finding everything St. Louis had to offer.

In October of 2023 my wife and I found out that we were expecting our second child, a son. We always bounced different names off one another. One day I suggest that we name him Louis, after the city we both seemed so drawn too. I got an idea that I’d like to do something special. What better then go back to a city that I love and take photos of what St. Louis means to me and commemorate it to our son Louis!

This book will have photos I took my medium format 6x7 camera and my large format 4x5 camera. Film used; Fujifilm (Velvia 50, Provia 100F, Pro 160NS) and Kodak 100TMax. Printing company, Fox Printing located locally in Milwaukee, WI. This book will be completed in the 4th quarter of this year (2024). Confirmed date will come sometime in the middle to end of the summer.
